The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has called for swift action over the recent attack in Plateau State, which left 28 people dead and several others wounded. The attack occurred in Angwan Rukuba, Jos North Local Government Area, on Sunday.

Daniel Okoh, the CAN President, expressed frustration over the lack of decisive action against perpetrators of such attacks. "Nigerians are tired of mourning and tired of statements," he said, urging authorities to find, arrest, and prosecute those responsible. Okoh emphasized that temporary measures are not enough and that the nation owes the dead justice and the living protection.

Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State condemned the attack, saying 28 innocent lives were lost and many others were injured. He vowed that the state will not succumb to fear or intimidation and will deploy every available resource to defend its people and protect lives and property.

The Plateau State government has imposed a curfew on the affected area, while CAN has called on Nigerians to be vigilant and calm. The incident has sparked outrage and protests across the country, with many condemning the attack and calling for lasting security measures.
