The agency secured an interim forfeiture of his hotel and froze his bank accounts, making it impossible for him to sustain his lavish lifestyle in hiding. Eventually, Chidiebere was forced to surrender to the agency on February 13, 2026. He is currently in custody, facing charges related to his 2013 cocaine shipment and the 2024 heroin consignments. Meanwhile, in a separate operation, NDLEA agents in Imo state dismantled a clandestine laboratory, recovering 18.4 kilograms of methamphetamine and precursor chemicals. This significant seizure highlights the prevalence of drug production and trafficking in Nigeria.
