Nassar, in an interview with Euronews' Europe Today, condemned Israel's actions as an "invasion and occupation" of Lebanese territory, following Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's order to expand the military operation. The move has been met with resistance from Lebanese authorities, who fear additional land will be seized. The situation has escalated since the outbreak of the US-Israeli war against Iran, with Hezbollah firing rockets into Israel in response.
Lebanon has banned Hezbollah's military operations, but Nassar acknowledged the country faces internal risks, referring to the militant group's influence. He urged Israel to engage in negotiations, warning that further incursions could have a devastating impact on the civilian population.
