Jigawa cleric urges mothers to nurture children with patience, moral values

A renowned Jigawa-based Islamic cleric, Ladidi Abdullah, has urged mothers to take greater responsibility for their children’s upbringing, emphasising that effective child-rearing is fundamental to building a morally sound society.
Adam made the call on Monday during the seventh series of the Ramadan Public Lecture organised by the Jigawa State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists at the NUJ Secretariat in Dutse, the state capital.
She stressed that mothers play a vital role in instilling values and morals in their children, citing the Qur’anic verse: “Verily, it is We Who have created man, and We know what his innermost soul whispers to him” (Qur’an 50:16).
