Abiodun boosts security with 1,000 additional Amotekun recruits

The governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, has approved the recruitment of an additional 1,000 operatives for the Amotekun Corps in the state.
The Amotekun Corps Commander, Brig Gen Alade Adedigba (retd), disclosed this in a statement on Monday.
Adedigba said the recruitment underscored the deliberate strategic security vision of the government, aimed at consolidating gains recorded in crime prevention, rapid response operations, and intelligence-driven policing at the grassroots.
He added that the recruitment was coming after almost 1,300 new operatives were recruited by the Corps in the previous year.
