U.S. President Donald Trump has expressed disappointment over what he described as a weakening of relations between Washington and London, following Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s initial decision not to provide direct military support for strikes against Iran.
In an interview with The Sun, Trump suggested that the long-standing alliance between the United States and the United Kingdom was no longer as strong as it once was.
“It’s very sad to see that the relationship is obviously not what it was,” Trump said.
He contrasted Britain’s position with that of other European allies, singling out France for its backing of the operation.
