**Troops Deal Devastating Blow to Boko Haram in Borno, Kill Over 80 Terrorists and Commanders** In a significant military operation, troops of the Joint Task Force (North-east) have launched a massive attack on terrorists in Borno State, killing over 80 fighters and top commanders. The operation took place in the early hours of Wednesday at Mallam Fatori in Sector 3, where the terrorists attempted to overrun military positions. This latest success comes just 24 hours after the troops successfully repelled a separate Boko Haram and ISWAP attack on four military locations in the North-east, including Njimtilo, Baga, Buratai, and Damboa. This demonstrates the resilience and tactical superiority of the Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) forces. According to Lieutenant Colonel Sani Uba, the Media Information Officer of OPHK, the terrorists launched a coordinated five-pronged attack on military positions, advancing in large numbers on foot and deploying armed drones. However, anticipating the assault, troops had prepared an offensive-defensive operation to disrupt and annihilate the attackers. Through disciplined fire control, coordinated manoeuvres, and superior tactics, the insurgents were routed, with over 80 neutralised. The operation was further reinforced by precision close air support from the NAF Air Component, complemented by rapid strikes from allied Nigerien air assets, putting additional pressure on the fleeing insurgents. The troops also recovered a substantial cache of weapons and equipment, including 52 AK-47 rifles, eight PKT machine guns, seven RPG tubes, and over 3,000 rounds of ammunition. Notably, the operation eliminated three high-profile terrorist commanders, including Mallam Abdulrahman Gobara, Mallam Ba Yuram, and Abou Ayyuba.
