In a conversation about her life and music, Ayra Starr stated, "I'm literally becoming a woman, and it's like you can hear that in my music now, like I'm growing sonically and I want to try different things, like just put myself out there, and having fun while doing it." The artist also acknowledged that she had previously taken her music too seriously, losing sight of the fun aspect of creating music. "I kind of lost the plot a bit, and I took it a bit too seriously, and it was never that deep," she said. For Ayra Starr, the process of making her third body of work was about rediscovering joy and not becoming too serious. "So now I brought the fun back and we're enjoying ourselves," she noted.
