LAGOS – Hon. Tokunbo Paul Ayanlola, the 2023 Labour Party (LP) candidate for the Lagos State House of Assembly, has reaffirmed his loyalty to the party. Hon. Ayanlola, also former Chairmanship candidate for Mushin constituency in the 2025 local government elections under the platform of the Labour Party (LP), who spoke through a statement in Lagos, also reaffirmed his total commitment to the Labour Party. The grassroots politician also restated his loyalty to the leadership of Sir Olawale Okunniyi, a veteran activist and nationalist. Ayanlola stated: “My political journey in the Labour Party began through the vision, guidance, and support of Sir Olawale Okunniyi, whose tireless efforts in strengthening our party and promoting credible leadership remain a source of inspiration. “His role in encouraging my political aspirations is one I hold in high regard, and I consider it both a duty and an honour to continue to stand by him and uphold the values he represents. “As a politician and as a servant of the people, I believe integrity is the cornerstone of true leadership. “I therefore wish to assure party members, supporters, and the general public that my loyalty to the Labour Party and to the ideals of transparency, accountability, and service to the people remains unshakable. “As we move towards the 2027 elections, I am committed to working with all progressive stakeholders to further strengthen the Labour Party in Mushin and across Lagos State. “Together, we will ensure that the party continues to serve as a beacon of hope and a platform that genuinely represents the interests of the people. “Finally Hon Tokunbo Paul Ayanlola celebrates his political mentor, Esooji Omo Nija Veteran Chief Olawale Okunnyi, a happy birthday and more grace, and good health. “I will continue to remain committed, loyal and grateful.”
