Florida Gov Signs Bill To Rename Airport After Trump
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has taken a significant step by signing a bill to rename Palm Beach International Airport after former US President Donald Trump. The airport, located approximately two miles from Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort, will now be known as the "President Donald J. Trump International Airport." However, the name change still requires approval from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and completion of rights agreements.
The FAA has clarified that it does not approve airport name changes but must complete some administrative tasks, including updating navigational charts and databases. This move is part of Trump's efforts to leave his mark on public institutions since returning to the White House in January 2025.
