**Federal High Court Announces Easter Vacation, Lists Vacation Judges** The Federal High Court of Nigeria has announced its Easter vacation for 2026, and the list of judges who will serve as vacation judges during this period. According to a statement by the Director of Information, Dr. Catherine Oby Christopher, the vacation was announced by the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, Hon. Justice John Terhemba Tsoho. The court will go on Easter vacation from Tuesday, 7 April 2026 to Monday, 13 April 2026. During this period, some judges have been designated to serve as vacation judges in different divisions. In Abuja, Hon. Justice Emeka Nwite and Hon. Justice Musa S. Liman will be the vacation judges, while in Lagos, Hon. Justice Akintayo Aluko and Hon. Justice Ogazi F. Nkemakonam will take on this role. In other divisions, Hon. Justice Phoebe M. Ayua and Hon. Justice Adamu T. Mohammed will serve as vacation judges in Port Harcourt, while Hon. Justice Mabel T. Segun-Bello will serve as vacation judge in Enugu. The Chief Judge has advised the vacation judges and heads of divisions to refer any matters requiring urgent attention to him promptly. The court will resume normal sittings on Tuesday, 14 April 2026. During the vacation period, the Abuja, Lagos, Port Harcourt, and Enugu divisions will remain open to the public only for matters of extreme urgency, such as enforcement of fundamental rights, arrest or release of vessels, or matters concerning national interest. This is not the first time the Federal High Court has announced its Easter vacation. However, it is essential for Nigerians to know the dates of the vacation and the judges who will be on duty to avoid any confusion or inconvenience.
