The Delta State Police Command has arrested four suspected cultists linked to the murder of Alex Adanike, a 31-year-old twin whose brother was the intended target. According to SP Bright Edafe's statement on March 31, the killing occurred on January 20, 2026, when members of the Supreme Vikings Confraternity allegedly mistook the victim for his twin, Okpako Adanike. The initial arrests of Warri Ochuko and Lucky Okohwoake followed a lengthy investigation, with both suspects confessing to the crime.
A subsequent raid in Ughelli and Warri, led by DCP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, uncovered two more suspects—Tega Micheal, 26, and Tena Sagbene, 32—who were also charged with the murder. All four suspects appeared in Ughelli High Court on March 31, 2026, and were remanded in prison custody after confessing to their roles in the killing.
