Leaders of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and the faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) led by Professor Jerry Gana are holding a private stakeholders' meeting in Abuja. Present are ADC National Chairman Senator David Mark, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, ex-Kano State Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, and Labour Party's 2023 presidential candidate Peter Obi. Also attending are former Attorney-General Abubakar Malami, ex-SGOF Babachir Lawal, former Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi, and Senator Aminu Tambuwal. On the PDP side, Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, factional National Chairman Jerry Gana, former Senate President Adolphus Wabara, and ex-Niger State Governor Babangida Aliyu are in attendance, alongside members of the PDP National Working Committee. Notably absent is Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed, who had been expected to represent the PDP. The meeting follows a protest that began at Maitaima Roundabout and proceeded to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) office in the early hours of the morning.
