Borno abductions: Don’t succumb to fear, Tinubu tells Nigerians
**Tinubu Urges Nigerians Not to Surrender to Fear Amid Borno Abductions**
President Bola Tinubu has called on Nigerians to stand strong against the growing wave of terror attacks in the country, particularly in Borno State. He emphasized that the federal government is doing its best to defeat terrorism and ensure the nation's stability.
This message comes as Borno State continues to grapple with the aftermath of recent attacks by suspected Boko Haram and ISWAP insurgents. Villages such as Ngoshe, Konduga, Marte, Jakana, and Mainok were targeted, leading to the abduction of scores of residents and injuries to several others.
President Tinubu, while hosting a breaking of fast ceremony with members of the Armed Forces and security agencies at the State House in Abuja, reaffirmed his administration's commitment to overcoming the security challenges facing the country. He expressed his resolve to "win" against terrorism and other threats to Nigeria's peace and unity.
The President also extended his sympathy to Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum and the people of the state, assuring them of the government's solidarity and support. He acknowledged the sacrifices being made by military personnel and other security operatives, assuring them that their efforts would not be in vain.
Nigeria is not new to security challenges, especially in the North-East region where Borno State is located. However, this call to resilience from the President comes at a time when many Nigerians are feeling anxious about their safety and security. The nation is still reeling from the effects of previous attacks, including the recent Abuja-Kaduna train attack and other incidents.
Despite these challenges, President Tinubu's message offers some hope and reassurance to Nigerians. He is urging them to stay strong, resist fear, and trust that the government is committed to restoring peace across the country.
