Alleged Graft: El-Rufai Returns To Kaduna Court For Bail Hearing After Late Mother’s 3-day Fidda’u

Nasir El-Rufai, the immediate-past governor of Kaduna State, appeared in court on Tuesday for a bail hearing in a corruption case.

The hearing took place at the State High Court in Kaduna before Justice Rilwan M. Aikawa. El-Rufai is facing charges filed by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).

The bail application is part of El-Rufai's defence strategy in the ongoing case. He was initially arraigned on March 24.

El-Rufai's mother had passed away just three days prior to the court hearing. The court proceedings went ahead as scheduled despite this personal loss.
