Mass resignation of political appointees has hit the administration of Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State. DAILY POST reports that the resignation of the appointees followed the circular dated February 28, 2026, issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor and made public today (March 2, 2026). Ikhilo directed all political appointees, civil servants and all those serving in the administration who are aspiring to vie for elective positions in the 2027 general elections to resign with immediate effect.
