**Youth Welfare Society to Honour Distinguished Nigerians**
In a significant move to acknowledge and appreciate the efforts of those who have made significant impacts in youth empowerment and employment creation in Nigeria, the Society for the Welfare of Unemployed Youths of Nigeria (SWUYN) will be honouring several distinguished Nigerians at its 10th Anniversary and National Unemployed Youths Day Awards Night. This ceremony is scheduled to hold on Thursday, March, at Udu, Delta State.
The event marks the grand finale of a three-day national programme that aims to promote youth empowerment and employment opportunities in the country. The theme of the programme is "From Unemployment to Employment," a fitting title for an event that celebrates those who have worked tirelessly to create opportunities for the youth.
SWUYN has announced that Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited will receive the CSR Excellence in Youth Development Award for its contributions to youth empowerment and employment generation in the Niger Delta. The company's Managing Director, Kestin Pondi, will also be honoured with the Job Creation and Skills Development Award for providing employment opportunities for thousands of Nigerian youths.
Other notable individuals who will be recognised include Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Dr. Dennis Otuaro, Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, and Ayodele Olawande Emmanuel, a government official who has contributed significantly to youth empowerment and policy support.
Additionally, Jonathan Ososuakpor, Founder and CEO of Amju Microfinance Bank Limited, will be honoured for supporting youth entrepreneurship and financial inclusion. The awards will also recognise civil society leaders, grassroots advocates, media professionals, and members of SWUYN who have played a crucial role in raising awareness on youth unemployment across the country.
According to Comrade Preye Tambou, National President of SWUYN, the awards mark an important milestone in the organisation's 10-year journey of advocating for youth empowerment and employment creation in Nigeria. This event is a testament to the organisation's commitment to promoting the welfare of unemployed youths in the country.
