Nollywood actor Daniel Etim Effiong has left social media divided after speaking about attraction. On the Mansplanation podcast, he described his relationship with his wife, Toyosi, as a business. According to him, it is a working relationship, partnership, business, and enterprise that is founded on love. “What I have with my wife is a working relationship. It’s a partnership, it’s a business, an enterprise, that is founded on love. We decided that we are going to build this family”. Effiong said marriage to him is more than just romance; it is a deliberate partnership that requires communication, commitment, and mutual respect. The talented actor emphasised that both partners must actively work on the relationship to ensure it thrives, treating it almost like a shared enterprise where love is the foundation. Speaking on the subject of being attracted to others, Etim admitted that he is, although he doesn’t love them. The actor said attraction and love are two different things because there is being in love and loving someone. “Do I get attracted to people? Yes, I can get attracted to you and not necessarily be in love with the person. It’s two different things. Cause there is being in love and loving someone”. Also, in the interview, he revealed that he prioritises his wife, and loves her more than his children. He, however, made it known that his kids have a special place in his heart. In an Instagram post, his wife gushed over him, noting how she sees her man almost every day, sleeps beside him, and loves up on him, yet when she stumbles upon his picture on Netflix, she starts blushing. Toyosi questioned how that was possible, as she does not understand why she feels that way. In 2024, Etim Effiong and his beautiful wife, Toyosi, welcomed their third child, a baby girl. Sharing the good news on Instagram in a joint post, the couple announced their daughter was here. Daniel noted how another arrow had been added to their quiver to the glory of God. The couple went on to express gratitude to their maker. Etim and his wife had sparked conversations after they spoke about their sex drive in an interview with Toolz, revealing that they have sex consistently. He also further revealed that he is a Calabar man, and most Calabar men are known for their high sex drive. He went on to express that, even if he was sleeping at night and you woke him up to have sex, he would gladly oblige. A year back, Toyosi opened up on her marriage with the actor, admitting that she once got jealous when her husband passionately kissed another woman in his movie. This left her questioning if there was something between him and the actress as he kissed the actress the exact way he kissed her. However, Toyosi stated that she doesn’t get jealous when female fans rush to him for pictures as she understands it is show business. She added that communication is the key to keeping her marriage afloat, as she often communicates her feelings to him.
