‘Tinubu Remains Our Leader’ – Adeleke Declares Amid Clash With Osun APC
**Tinubu Remains Our Leader, Says Osun Governor Adeleke Amid APC Crisis**
Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has reaffirmed his support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's re-election in 2027, stating that his endorsement of the President remains unwavering despite the ongoing crisis within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.
In a statement issued by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, Governor Adeleke made this declaration during a meeting with key government officials, special advisers, and stakeholders at the Government House in Osogbo. The governor emphasized that his disagreements with the state APC leadership do not affect his relationship with President Tinubu, who he described as "our leader" and "representative of the South West".
Adeleke's reaffirmation of support for Tinubu comes at a time when the APC is embroiled in a bitter crisis over the control of local government councils in Osun State. However, the governor maintained that this crisis will not impact his endorsement of the President's re-election bid.
In a related development, Governor Adeleke has expressed appreciation to residents for their support following his defection to the Accord Party, a move he says has led to a significant increase in the party's influence across the state. He noted that Osun has become a hub for the party, with local chapters organizing weekly activities that attract thousands of participants.
Adeleke has also pledged to deliver better governance and consolidate ongoing development efforts if re-elected. He assured residents that his administration will focus on youth empowerment, women's development, and workers' welfare, while also consolidating gains in infrastructure, agriculture, education, and healthcare.
In a call to action, the governor directed his aides and party members to strengthen grassroots mobilization across the state's 332 wards, urging them to build on the party's growing popularity. This move is seen as a strategic effort to consolidate the Accord Party's influence and position the party for future elections.
