**Tinubu Gives Boost to Nigeria's Infrastructure with Major Road Reconstruction Plans** Nigeria's drive towards improved infrastructure has just received a significant boost, courtesy of President Bola Tinubu. During a recent meeting with the Minister of Works, David Umahi, the President gave the green light for the immediate reconstruction of three federal roads in Niger State, as well as the extension of a crucial road in Rivers State. The road projects earmarked for reconstruction in Niger State will not only enhance connectivity between major towns but also improve the overall travelling experience for Nigerians. The Mokwa–Bida Road, spanning approximately 120km, will be rebuilt using reinforced concrete pavement to ensure durability and sustainability. This is a departure from the traditional asphalt pavement, which can be prone to potholes and damage over time. Another major project is the Mokwa–Makeri Road, covering a distance of 63km. This road will also be constructed using reinforced concrete pavement, with the aim of reducing maintenance costs and increasing its lifespan. The Bida–Labata Road, a 123.5km stretch, will also undergo reconstruction using the same technology. In Rivers State, the extension of the Bodo–Bonny Road will be a major game-changer for the region. This dual carriageway project will be constructed with concrete pavement and equipped with solar-powered street lighting, making it safer and more efficient for commuters. The road will also connect with the East–West Road, enhancing connectivity between the Niger Delta region and other parts of the country.
