Nollywood actress Judy Austin and her husband, Yul Edochie, are celebrating his father, Pete Edochie, as he turns 79 today. Taking to her Instagram page, she showered him with praises, calling him a living legend, the lion of Africa and the most intelligent. Raining prayers on her, “Happy blessed birthday, daddy @peteedochie A living LEGEND!!! The LION of Africa The Most Intelligent 79-year-old!!! May God continue to bless and honour you, sir Wishing you long life, good health, and everything good in life. Amen. Enjoy your day, daddy”. Yul Edochie called his father his man for life and rained prayers on him. “Nwoke Ike. The Lion of Africa. The most handsome 79-year-old man alive. Happy birthday Dad Chief Pete Edochie @peteedochie Ebubedike. Wishing you many more beautiful years. May God lead you always. My man for life”. On his 78th birthday, Austin described the veteran as the Lion of Africa, one of the continent’s biggest names and a living legend. Judy made him feel loved as she told him to keep living for them. Yul had sung the praises of his father, referring to him as one of Nigeria’s greatest icons and the biggest name in Nollywood. He expressed how much he loved his father and declared him his man for life. During the heat of Yul Edochie’s marriage announcement with Judy, Pete had granted an interview revealing that he was never aware that Yul had taken a second wife. He praised May Edochie and indirectly called Judy a foreign and infested woman who came into his family to wreak havoc. His sister-in-law, Rita Edochie, had also stated that he wasn’t in support of Yul and Judy’s marriage. She claimed that Pete once walked out of a movie production that Judy was in charge of and refunded her money. Despite Pete’s non acknowledgement of her, Judy hasn’t ceased singing his praises. When he turned 76 in 2023, she penned a sweet tribute to him, describing him as the Lion of Africa and hailed him for being a legend with a heart of gold. When Pete Edochie bagged two doctorate degrees last year, Judy hailed him for being the Lion of Africa. She noted how the legendary actor deserves the recognition and award and prayed for a long life and more blessings.
