Her ex Dakota Mortensen was awarded temporary custody of their 2-year-old son after filing for a protective order against the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star, according to the protective order obtained by People March 20. A hearing has been scheduled for April 7, with the order stating, "No parent time is allowed until the scheduled hearing," per the outlet. At that time, Paul will be allowed to speak and share her side. E! News reached out to Paul's rep on the order and hasn't heard back. Mortensen had filed the protective order March 19, the same day TMZ published a video of a 2023 altercation between the pair while Paul's daughter—the eldest of her two kids with ex-husband Tate Paul—was in the room. Disney subsequently canceled the March 22 premiere of her season of The Bachelorette on its network ABC, with her rep telling E! News in a statement that “Taylor is very grateful for ABC’s support as she prioritizes her family’s safety and security."
