Taylor Frankie Paul Video Shows 2023 Fight with Dakota Mortensen When Child Was Struck
**Taylor Frankie Paul's Violent Altercation with Dakota Mortensen Captured on Video**
A disturbing video obtained by *TMZ* shows a violent altercation between reality TV star Taylor Frankie Paul and her ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen in 2023. The footage, which was used as evidence in the case, depicts a heated struggle between the two that turns violent. According to the police report, a 5-year-old girl, who was present during the altercation, was hit and later sustained a "goose egg on her head."
The video shows Taylor putting Dakota in a headlock, backing off, and then charging at him. She attempts to kick him, but the situation escalates when she grabs a metal barstool and hurls it at Dakota. He screams at her, "your daughter is sitting right there," but she persists, throwing two more stools at him. The child can be heard crying in the background.
Police arrived at the scene after a neighbor complained about the noise. The responding officer can be heard trying to separate the two in the video. Taylor later claimed to police that Dakota had thrown her to the ground prior to the altercation seen in the video. However, she is heard yelling "you threw me" multiple times during the fight.
As a result of the altercation, Taylor pleaded guilty to a felony and was placed on three years' probation, which ends in August. If she keeps her nose clean until then, the conviction will not appear on her record. Prosecutors dropped four other charges, including domestic violence in the presence of a child, child abuse, and criminal mischief, as part of the deal.
Dakota has been accused of releasing the video on his son's birthday as part of a "desperate, attention-seeking, destructive campaign" to harm Taylor. A representative for Taylor stated, "It's sad to see the latest installment of his never-ending, desperate, attention-seeking, destructive campaign to harm Taylor without any regard for the consequences for their child. Releasing an old and selectively edited video on their son's birthday is a reprehensible attempt to distract from his own behavior."
The drama surrounding Taylor has led to the halt of filming on the reality TV show "Secret Lives of Mormon Wives." Other members of the cast refused to film due to the controversy. Additionally, ABC has canceled the entire season of "The Bachelorette," which was set to premiere on Sunday, after pulling Taylor from the show.
