Political tension is rising within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Taraba State as the 16-member State Caretaker Committee has directed members of the dissolved State Working Committee (SWC) to vacate the party’s state secretariat or face legal action. In a statement made available to journalists on Thursday evening, the Caretaker Committee, chaired by Dr Falack Victor, stressed that its actions are guided by law. “Occupying the state secretariat of the party after your lawful dissolution amounts to illegality, and the law frowns at such acts,” the statement read.
