Sunbeth Global Concepts Ltd is building a 70,000-metric tonne cocoa processing plant and an 80,000-metric tonne cashew processing facility, both set for commissioning in March 2027. The project was announced by Managing Director Mr. Olasunkanmi Owoyemi at the Africa Cocoa Finance and Investment Forum held at the London Stock Exchange. The dual facilities aim to strengthen African export capacity and deepen local value addition in agro-processing. Sunbeth has transitioned from a trading business to an integrated processor, with operations across Nigeria, Ghana and Cameroon. The company also has offices in London, Dubai and New York to improve global market access and trade financing. Mr. Owoyemi stated that vertical integration is essential for sustainability, requiring investment in farmer education, technology, financing and logistics. The cocoa facility will support Nigeria's role in global cocoa processing, while the cashew plant will meet demand in West Africa and export markets in Europe, Asia and the Americas. Through its Orange Cocoa Sustainability Framework, Sunbeth is implementing quality control systems and farmer training programmes to ensure a reliable supply chain. The company emphasized that world-class infrastructure must be matched with world-class ambition. Sunbeth's long-term vision includes building industrial-scale processing capacity across Africa's key agricultural value chains.
