Nollywood actress Biodun Okeowo has made a case for her colleague, Aremu Afolayan, over his apology. Kemi Filani reported that Afolayan, in a viral clip, said President Tinubu once helped his business during a period when the United Arab Emirates imposed visa restrictions on Nigerians. The actor, in a bid to praise the president, appeared unbothered by the country’s hardships, which infuriated netizens. Following the backlash, Aremu tendered an apology on Instagram, explaining that his statement had been misunderstood.
