Stakeholders meet to review Kano sanitation roadmap

Stakeholders from government agencies, civil society, private sector, academia, development partners, and religious institutions have called for urgent and coordinated action to strengthen sanitation delivery in Kano state, as 12 out of the 44 local government areas are yet to attain Open Defecation Free (ODF) status.
The call was made during a consultative meeting held at Tahir Guest Palace, Kano, to review the state’s existing ODF Roadmap and develop a Sustainable Basic Sanitation Access Roadmap for 2026–2031.
