The Southeast African Democratic Congress, ADC, has launched a grassroots mobilization team to strengthen its electoral chances in the 2027 elections. The team, known as South East Mobilization Network, SEMN, was unveiled in Enugu, with its National Executive Council members emerging at the event. Bryan Diamond Agu, the Director General of SEMN, emphasized the importance of grassroots mobilization in the party's electoral success.
Agu commended ADC members and stakeholders for their collective commitment to the launch of SEMN. He specifically praised James Okoroma, the Imo State Chairman of the Party, for his insightful exposition on political mobilization and party development. Agu noted that the NEC, as the highest decision-making body of SEMN, will ensure that the same level of commitment demonstrated during the unveiling ceremony is reflected in the Council's task of mobilizing the Southeast electorate for the party.
The ongoing ADC National E-Membership Registration exercise aims to strengthen the party structure, improve membership management, and enhance strategic planning from polling units to state levels. Agu encouraged SEMN members and coordinators to actively mobilize citizens to participate in the registration process, particularly in preparation for the forthcoming ADC congresses scheduled to hold on April 7, 2026.
