**Troops Nab Terrorists, Recover Arms in Benue** In a significant operation, troops of the Joint Task Force Operation WHIRL STROKE have successfully neutralised two suspected terrorists and recovered a cache of arms and other items in the Tse-Anka Community of Katsina-Ala Local Government Area, Benue State. The operation, carried out on March 9, 2026, was part of a confidence-building patrol aimed at reassuring residents of the area and denying freedom of action to criminal elements. The troops acted on credible intelligence about the activities of suspected terrorists in the community. During the operation, which was carried out in conjunction with operatives of the Benue State Civil Protection Guard, the troops made contact with the terrorists, leading to a brief but intense firefight. Unfortunately, two of the terrorists were neutralised, while several others fled with possible gunshot injuries. Following the engagement, the troops conducted a thorough search of the area and recovered a significant cache of arms, including one AK-47 rifle, five rifle magazines, and 71 rounds of ammunition. They also seized a Bajaj motorcycle, 82 SIM cards, six ATM cards, and several charms suspected to be used by the criminals.
