The Anambra State Government has warned that any student who fails to attend school on Mondays will face a one-week suspension. The state Commissioner for Education, Prof. Ngozi Chuma-Udeh, issued the warning while addressing the management of Mount Olive Schools and Spring Field Academy GRA, Onitsha, at her office on Wednesday. Chuma-Udeh said the directive followed instructions from Governor Chukwuma Soludo and that the schools were summoned to explain alleged noncompliance with the government’s order on Monday school attendance. She said, “This measure is in line with the State Government’s resolve to ensure full resumption of academic activities on Mondays across Anambra.
