Austin Tam-George, former Rivers State Commissioner for Information and Communications, has described Governor Sim Fubara's administration as the best opportunity to move away from the self-aggrandizing politics associated with FCT Minister Nyesom Wike. He made the remarks on Thursday during an interview on Arise Television's 'Prime Time'. Tam-George claimed Wike, a former governor of Rivers State, elevated personal aggrandizement to an unprecedented level. He referred to Wike as a political godfather who pushed prebendal politics into a new stratosphere.
Tam-George stated that backing Fubara's administration was a deliberate choice driven by the need to reject the political style embodied by Wike. He emphasized that no civil servant was promoted in Rivers State during Wike's eight-year tenure as governor. According to Tam-George, Fubara's approach has been focused on addressing the needs of the people. He described Fubara as wise for aligning his governance with public interest.
