The wife of the Vice President, Hajia Nana Shettima, has called for unity and collective action to drive inclusive national growth. She made this appeal during the inauguration and award investiture of the Women Wing of the Northern Christian Religious Leaders Assembly (NOCRELA) in Abuja. Shettima represented by Mrs Kwapchi Hamman, Special Assistant to the President on Media and ICT, stressed that shared vision and dedication are crucial for the success of any national initiative.
The administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu remains committed to strengthening institutions and fostering inclusive growth, according to Shettima. She urged the newly inaugurated executives to prioritise service, accountability, and impact in their various roles. Collaboration is key to achieving sustainable development goals, and Shettima encouraged the appointees to see their roles as a call to service that will directly influence the lives of citizens.
Former Minister of Women Affairs, Dame Pauline Tallen, described women as the "heart and engine" of the church and society. Tallen urged the leaders to view their positions as a divine responsibility, noting that women play a central role in nurturing faith and unity.
The Vice President's wife, Hajia Nana Shettima, has called for unity and collective action, but it's time for action, not just words. The Tinubu administration's commitment to inclusive growth is commendable, but it's the execution that matters. The involvement of women in leadership is crucial, and it's heartening to see women like Dame Pauline Tallen and Hajia Shettima advocating for their roles. However, it's time for the government to translate words into action and provide tangible support for women in leadership positions. The success of any national initiative depends on the dedication of all stakeholders, and it's time for everyone to step up and contribute to Nigeria's growth.
