Prof. Akinwumi to deliver UI’s 605th inaugural lecture Feb 26 Professor Femi Akinwumi of the Department of Educational Management will deliver the 605th inaugural lecture of the University of Ibadan on Thursday, 26th February, 2026. The lecture titled: “Achieving Quality amidst Quantity: The Paradox of Managing Education in Nigeria,” will be held at Trenchard Hall at 3:00 pm. Prof. Akinwumi becomes the 5th scholar from the Department of Educational Management to deliver an Inaugural Lecture. Others who have delivered from the Department of Educational Management were Professors R.S. Longe, J.B. Babalola, Adebola Jayeoba, and Segun Adedeji.
