The Business Women of Influence for Renewed Hope Agenda (BWI-RHA) has announced plans to mobilise widespread support for President Bola Tinubu's re-election in 2027. The group made the declaration during a pre-launch event and news conference held on Friday in Abuja. Mrs Ngozi Oyewole, National Convener and Director-General of BWI-RHA, said the platform was created to unite women across sectors to drive national development under Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda. Oyewole described the initiative as a national awakening of women committed to leadership, enterprise, unity and service. She stated that Nigerian women are no longer passive supporters but strategic partners in nation building. "Leadership is not tested in times of comfort, but in moments that demand sacrifice, bold decisions and national reconstruction," she said. According to her, no nation can rise above the strength of its women, and no economy can prosper if women remain underrepresented or excluded from opportunities.
The group aims to bring together market women, entrepreneurs, professionals, farmers, industrialists, creatives, young leaders, women in governance, technology experts and diaspora women for national impact. Its mission includes women's empowerment, business growth, opportunity creation, community support and economic inclusion. "When you empower a woman, you empower a family; when you empower families, you strengthen communities, and when communities are strengthened, nations rise," Oyewole said.
She called on government institutions, ministries, agencies, development partners and the private sector to invest intentionally in Nigerian women. The group also commended Tinubu for his leadership and resilience amid national challenges. Ms Evelyn Onyilo, Director of Media and Communications for BWI-RHA, said Tinubu's reforms would yield benefits for all Nigerians. She added that the group is deploying foot soldiers and mobilisers across structures, including market women, business owners and rural women, to secure massive votes for Tinubu's continuity in 2027.
