The incident occurred on March 7, at about 7:30 pm, when a notorious bandit, known as "Chen," led his men to abduct Zaki Sughter Agenbeer from his residence in Une Tongov community.
According to security expert Zagazola Makama, the victim was taken into the bush and brutally murdered by the bandits after they accused him of providing information about their activities to security agencies. In response to the incident, the DPO Katsina-Ala and the DPO Ukum collaborated to mobilise patrol teams and tactical units to the area. A fierce gun battle ensued between the police operatives and the bandits, resulting in the deaths of three suspects.
