PHOTOS: Shi’ites protest in Yobe over Iranian Supreme Leader’s killing

Members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, popularly known as Shi’ites, on Tuesday staged a peaceful protest in Potiskum and Nguru Local Government Areas of Yobe State, condemning the killing of Ayatollah Ali Khameini, whom they described as a revered Iranian Supreme Leader.
The protesters marched through parts of the towns, carrying Iranian flags and large portraits of Khameini.
Chants and slogans expressed solidarity with Iran and opposition to what they described as foreign interference that led to the death of their spiritual figure.
In Potiskum, leaders of the Shi’ite community said the protest was organised to denounce what they called the unjust killing of a prominent Islamic figure.
