**PDP Begins Nationwide Membership Drive: Every Naija Is Invited** In a major development that promises to shape the future of Nigeria's politics, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has launched a nationwide membership drive. Starting from Monday, March 2, 2026, the party will embark on a three-week digital registration exercise across all 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory. This move is in compliance with the Electoral Act 2026, which requires all political parties to submit digital registers of their members to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). The exercise aims to compile an updated list of PDP members, strengthening the party's internal structures and ensuring a more robust engagement with the electoral commission. Theophilus Daka Shan, will oversee the registration process, which will take place daily (except Sundays) at ward, chapter, and state offices of the party. In exceptional cases, registration will also be conducted at the National Secretariat.
