Paul Onuachu Reaches Another Milestone in Turkey
Paul Onuachu scored the decisive goal as Trabzonspor secured a 1-0 victory over Caykur Rizespor in their Turkish league encounter.
The goal saw the Nigerian striker make history by becoming the first Trabzonspor player to score in eight consecutive league matches since 1992 in the Turkish Süper Lig.
Onuachu’s goal arrived early in the second half and showcased classic centre forward instincts.
In the 51st minute, Oleksandr Zubkov beat his marker on the flank before spotting Onuachu in space inside the penalty area.
Zubkov delivered a precise pass into the box and the Nigerian striker responded with a composed right footed finish that found the back of the net.
Beyond the goal, Onuachu delivered an impressive all round performance. He completed 11 passes during the match and successfully made three dribbles.
Defensively, he also contributed with one tackle, two ball recoveries and a clearance while winning ten duels across the contest.
The 31 year-old forward is enjoying a prolific season in front of goal. He has now scored 21 goals in the Turkish Süper Lig this campaign and continues to climb the scoring charts.

Onuachu is now just six goals away from surpassing the record set last season by fellow Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen.
Achieving that milestone would see him become the second African player to record the highest number of league goals in a single season in the history of the Turkish Süper Lig.
