**Oyo Residents and Motorists Hail FERMA's Road Rehabilitations Efforts**
In a remarkable turn of events, the people of Oyo State, particularly those in the Oke-Ogun zone, have expressed their gratitude to the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA) for the ongoing road rehabilitation projects in the area. The much-needed intervention has brought relief to residents and motorists who have had to endure the hardships of navigating through the poorly maintained roads.
According to residents of Ago-Are in Atisbo Local Government Area, the rehabilitation of the road is a welcome development that will reduce the frequency of accidents and facilitate the transportation of farm produce to urban markets. Madam Lawal Falilatu, a trader in Ago-Are, commended the Federal Government for the initiative, describing it as "thoughtful of the Bola Tinubu administration." She noted that the road had been in a deplorable state, causing many accidents in the past.
Olalekan Ibrahim, another resident of Ago-Are, also praised FERMA for the rehabilitation exercise, which he believes will improve the transportation of farm produce and reduce the risk of accidents on the road. However, he appealed to FERMA to address a junction near his shop, which he said is a major cause of frequent accidents in the area.
For Mrs Janet Olasiji, the rehabilitation of the road is a blessing from God Almighty, and she expressed her gratitude to the Federal Government for remembering the people of Ago-Are. Adewale Olaitan, a commercial driver in Ago-Are, described the development as timely, saying it will save vehicles from frequent visits to the mechanic.
The Oke-Ogun zone of Oyo State is a significant agricultural hub, and the rehabilitation of the road will undoubtedly boost the economy of the region. With the improved road network, farmers will be able to transport their produce more efficiently, thereby increasing their income and contributing to the growth of the state's economy.
