The National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools has called for greater security around schools in Oyo State following abductions at three institutions in the Oriire Local Government Area. The group urged the Federal Government, Oyo State Government, and security agencies to strengthen security infrastructure around educational institutions, particularly those in rural and vulnerable communities.
NAPPS called for the deployment of modern surveillance technology, better intelligence gathering, and rapid response mechanisms to prevent future attacks and ensure quick rescue operations. The association emphasized that schools must remain safe spaces for learning and should not be targeted by criminals.
