With this grand project, Aba is poised to reclaim its position as a major player in the region's economy. The seven-storey structure had, over the years, become a symbol of stalled dreams. However, Otti's administration is determined to rewrite that narrative. With the project's first phase delivering a 120-room five-star facility alongside a convention centre, Aba is set to welcome local and international guests and events. The development is projected to expand into a 250-room hospitality complex within four years, making it a major player in the hospitality industry. The journey to this point has not been easy. The initial announcement in 2024 was delayed due to the need to establish a robust operating agreement and prepare Aba's ecosystem to sustain a top-tier hospitality brand. However, the governor's efforts to improve road infrastructure, sanitation, security, and healthcare have made Aba an attractive destination for investors. Otti's administration has made significant strides in transforming Aba into a business-friendly environment. The city has emerged as one of the cleanest urban destinations in the country and among the most secure in the South-East region. The governor is confident that the hotel will raise service standards, attract investments, and stimulate growth in related sectors, including entertainment and events.
