In a well-coordinated sting operation, six suspected armed robbers, known as 'one-chance' operators, were apprehended at a hotel in the 7UP/Academy area. The suspects, aged between 21 and 35, were identified as Kelvin Daniel, Idris Ramon, Christopher Solomon, Mohamed Telim, Taored Aderibigbe, and Adekunle Tolani. A search of their hotel room turned up an assortment of stolen goods, including 18 mobile phones, an Opay ATM card, a National Identification Number (NIN) card, and a tricycle that served as their operational vehicle.
The police spokesperson, DSP Alayande Olayinka, has assured the public that investigation is ongoing and the suspects will face justice. This is a welcome development in the fight against crime in Ibadan, and it's a testament to the police's commitment to keeping the community safe.
