Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti has stepped down as Secretary to the Ondo State Government to pursue a seat in the Senate for Ondo Central in the 2027 general elections. A medical doctor by profession, he served over 30 years in the health sector, rising to the directorate level at the State House Medical Centre in Abuja before retiring in 2024. He said his experience in governance and public administration has equipped him for national leadership.
Fasoranti stated his goal is to deliver people-oriented representation and expand democratic dividends across Ondo Central. He emphasized inclusive governance, stressing that leadership must reflect the real needs of citizens and create pathways for development. His background in humanitarian work and professional service, he said, strengthens his readiness for the role. The Ondo Central Senatorial District includes Ondo West, Ondo East, Ifedore, Akure South, Akure North, and Idanre. Fasoranti has called on residents to back his bid, pledging to turn their aspirations into actionable policies if elected.
