Deradicalized Terrorists and Bandits Not Recruited into Nigerian Military, Ali Clarifies
The Coordinator of Operation Safe Corridor, Brigadier General Yusuf Ali, has dismissed as false the claim that repented terrorists and bandits are being recruited into the Nigerian military. General Ali made this clarification during a media dialogue with the leadership of OSC in Abuja, which was organized by the Centre for Democracy and Development.
The OSC Coordinator stated that the Nigerian security apparatus has a structured process for screening individuals to be recruited into the military, and that repentant terrorists are not reintegrated into society without going through the proper channels.
