Ebinga advanced to the 50m butterfly final on Day 2, while Dorcas Oka qualified for the 100m breaststroke final. Ebinga finished fourth in the 50m butterfly, just off the podium, and Oka did not place in the 100m breaststroke final.
On Day 3, India Kate Brown won another bronze, this time in the Girls' 100m Butterfly, clocking 1:05.73. Nigeria's total stands at three bronze medals so far. The Nigeria Aquatics Federation credited the team's performance to ongoing reforms and investment in aquatics.
Leadership from the National Sports Commission, led by Mallam Shehu Dikko and Hon. Bukola Olopade, and the Nigeria Aquatics Federation board is cited as instrumental in the sport's recent progress. The Federation noted Nigeria's improved presence at continental events, following breakthrough results at the previous championships in Cairo and a silver medal at a world-level competition.
