President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has declared that Nigeria has moved beyond its recent economic and security headwinds, assuring citizens that the nation is “out of the woods” and promising renewed efforts, including the establishment of state police, to address insecurity.
The president spoke Monday at Ramadan iftar (breaking of fast) with governors held at the State House Banquet Hall, Abuja, attended by 20 governors, two deputy governors and senior government officials.
Tinubu acknowledged that the road to recovery had not been easy.
He admitted that while progress has been recorded, concerns still persist, including those raised by “my son, the farmer from Niger (Mohammed Bago).”
He urged the governors to remain steadfast.
