The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has donated media equipment to the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) to enhance the operations of its radio broadcast. The commission's Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mr Samuel Ogbuku, said the donation was a deliberate investment in communication and national development. Ogbuku's representative, Mrs Mary Nwaeke, described the NYSC as a vital institution that has fostered unity and nation-building over the years.

The equipment donated includes a complete inverter system with lithium batteries to ensure stable power supply, as well as a two-kilowatt Italian-made radio transmitter. The commission also renovated the NYSC radio wiring system to eliminate audio noise and enhance sound quality. Additionally, the NDDC supported the digital visibility of NYSC Radio through its placement on the Radio Garden platform for global online access.

The Director-General of NYSC, Brig.-Gen. Olakunle Nafiu, welcomed the donation, describing it as a major boost to the scheme's broadcasting capacity. The radio station has been in operation for more than four years and serves as a training ground for corps members.
