Spread the word The Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Mrs. Olubunmi Kuku on Monday night disclosed that the agency was yet to ascertain the remote cause of the fire incident at the old terminal of the international wing of the Murtala Mohammed Airport but said the inferno impacted on some of the terminal operations. Kuku, who was on ground to coordinate evacuation and rescue activities at the facility told airport correspondents that three international flights were diverted to Abuja and Malabo, Equatorial Guinea but affirmed that the airspace which was temporarily closed was later reopened when a mobile control tower was activated in conjunction with NAMA.
