MMA2 operator Bi-Courtney Aviation Services has raised parking fees at Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal 2 in Lagos. The increase, effective Monday, is aimed at reducing congestion and discouraging long-term parking at the multi-storey car park. The company said prolonged vehicle stays—some lasting days, months, or even years—have limited space for passengers, with some spending over 30 minutes searching for spots, leading to missed flights. Congestion has also spilled into drop-off and pick-up zones, disrupting traffic flow and passenger experience.

Bi-Courtney stated the fee adjustment is an operational necessity, not a revenue-driven move. The firm highlighted its commitment to safety and security, maintained through monitoring and access control at the terminal. Under the new tariff, saloon cars pay N3,500 for the first hour, up from N2,500, with N2,500 for each additional hour. SUVs now pay N4,000 initially, up from N3,500, with the same follow-up rate. Buses are charged N20,000 overnight, while lost tickets attract a N25,000 fee.
