Mayweather says he can still set new boxing records, eyes comeback

Ex-world champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. has confirmed he will return to professional boxing later this year, extending a career that has already secured his place among the sport’s most decorated and lucrative figures.
The 48-year-old, who retired with an unbeaten 50-0 record, has not fought professionally since his 10th-round technical knockout victory over former UFC champion Conor McGregor in August 2017.
That win allowed Mayweather to surpass Rocky Marciano’s long-standing 49-0 mark and retire undefeated.
Before stepping back into sanctioned competition, Mayweather is scheduled to face former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson in an exhibition bout this spring.
